A lifelong dream of mine has been to start a games company. Along with my partner-in-crime, Zach Hobbs, we've banded together to make some of our fun ideas into a reality. We wanted a logo and branding that was somewhat playful, but had a sense of edge and sophistication. Thus, the Skwid was born!
I first worked with Concept Housewares to design some packaging for their Asian stir-fry woks, but this soon turned into quite a large project. In the end, they ended up with a brand new branding treatment, stationery, retail packaging line, 3 sub-brands and catalog design. This was easily one of my most favorite projects and clients.
I love both creating and playing video games, so when Billy Lavoie contacted me to redesign Tangled! for iPhone, I was excited to take this on! The solution was a refresh of all the game graphics, logo and UI for the game, as well as some new additions like level themes and level-select screens. Why not pop over to iTunes and give it a try? It's free!
Kowloon Bay is a beautiful bay between the mainland and Hong Kong Island. This logo design is for a set of high-end handmade cookware specially designed by craftsmen in China. The goal of this design was to create something minimal, scaleable, timeless and with a touch of class.
This was a really awesome project I worked together with Zach Hobbs for our game design side venture, Skwid. The goal of the game is to tilt your device left or right to keep Wet Willie upright. He may not be able to hold a line, but the beer is always upright -- priorites first!
Referencing when a hockey player is punished by being sent to the penalty box, the Sin Bin is a small-town sports bar in Astoria, Oregon. The solution was simple -- create a simple logo treatment that glorifies being sent to the bin! Why not?
